Oh, I love your haiku. My very first thought when I read the prompt was message in a bottle but then went in another direction. You did a wonderful job on it.
This makes me think of the out of time and place nature of lost or old messages and the bittersweet experience of trying to find a place for words from the past.
I can not go to the sea without the faint hope of retrieving an old authentic message in a bottle. In reading your haiku with the message, I could feel the anticipation of coming upon this treasure. jodi barone
